- 1Average of table AThe annual average is the arithmetic mean of NBP mid rates for all business days. The current year runs from 1 January to the latest table. The year-end rate is the last December table.
- 2GoldPrice of 1 gram of 1000-fineness gold calculated by the NBP, averaged over business days. It is a market price, not a mint bar price with a margin.

Which rate for a foreign-currency invoice?
For tax purposes usually the NBP mid rate from the last business day before the revenue or cost arises. The annual averages here are for analysis, valuations and budgets, not for booking individual invoices.
