How it is computed
- 1SourcesReference rate from the NBP decision archive (effective date), WIBOR as monthly averages of Polish interbank rates from Eurostat, EURIBOR and the deposit rate from the ECB. The annual figure is the average of months.
- 2Year-end or averageFor the NBP rate I show the year-end level and the day-weighted average. For loan cost over a year use the average; for “where we were in December”, the year-end.
Frequently asked questions
What is WIBOR 3M now?
In the latest data (September 2026), 3.84 % on average. Daily fixings are published by GPW Benchmark; this page shows monthly averages, updated after Eurostat publishes, usually with about a two-week lag.
When were NBP rates highest?
From September 2022 to September 2023 the reference rate stood at 6.75 %. Before that, from May 2020 to October 2021, it was at a record low of 0.1 %. The full list of decisions with dates is above.
Loan in złoty or in euro?
EURIBOR is about 1.5 points below WIBOR, but a euro loan with złoty revenue moves currency risk onto the business. It mainly makes sense when revenue is also in euro.
