How it is computed

  1. 1Two averagesThe national economy (annual notice) covers all employers including the public sector – this is the figure used for ZUS and contracts. The enterprise sector (monthly) covers firms with 10+ staff; for years I show the average of months, with the current year starred.
  2. 2Real growthReal change = (wage at end ÷ wage at start) ÷ cumulative CPI index over the period − 1. It measures purchasing power, not the raise itself.

Frequently asked questions

What is the average wage in 2026?

Statistics Poland will publish the full-year figure in February 2027. So far: PLN 9,562.88 in Q1 and PLN 9,233.13 in Q2 (national economy); recent enterprise-sector months are around PLN 9,300–9,500. The Budget Act assumed PLN 9,420.

How much have real wages grown since 2015?

By about 46 % over 2015–2025: the nominal average rose 128 % and prices 56.6 %. That is less than the minimum wage, which gained about 70 % in real terms.

Which average should a contract or company budget use?

Whatever the contract or regulation names. ZUS contributions and thresholds use the forecast average from the Budget Act; indexation often uses the GUS notice for the previous year. For a payroll budget, the enterprise-sector figure for your industry is a better guide.
